"Dr. Meijer diagnosed my condition as calcific tendonitis in the shoulder, which is a fairly large calcium deposit formed in the rotator cuff. I was in a tremendous amount of pain, with extremely limited range of motion in my shoulder. He was able to resolve the condition with an ultrasound-guided needle, puncturing the deposit and then injecting the area with a corticosteroid. The results were almost instantaneous. It's been a month now, and I am no longer in pain. Dr. Meijer did this procedure during my first office visit, thereby saving me from having a needless surgery on my shoulder.
